How to Custom Fit Your Firearm in a Customer Fit Negrini Case

How to Custom Fit Your Firearm in a Customer Fit Negrini Case

Negrini Custom Fit Cases are trusted by shooters and hunters who need lightweight, secure, and travel-ready firearm protection. Whether you’re fitting a handgun, shotgun, or rifle, the included foam insert system allows you to custom-fit your case to your exact firearm configuration – no gunsmithing required.

Here’s how to custom fit your Negrini case in a few simple steps.

What Comes With Your Custom Fit Case

Each Negrini Custom Fit Case includes:

  • A precision foam insert (removable)
  • A marking pen
  • A razor knife

Additional inserts are available for purchase if you’d like to configure your case for multiple firearms or layouts.

Step 1: Plan Your Layout

Start by placing your unloaded firearm(s) and accessories on top of the foam insert to test the layout. Take time to:

  • Balance the layout for weight distribution
  • Avoid pressure on sensitive parts like triggers, scopes, or sights
  • Leave room for magazines, holsters, or optics if needed

Tip: Ensure the case will close cleanly without compressing parts like slide releases or turrets.

Step 2: Trace Your Firearm

  1. Remove the foam insert from the case.
  2. Using the included marking pen, trace around each item you plan to store.

    • Hold the item steady while tracing
    • Keep the pen as vertical as possible for an accurate outline

Step 3: Prepare Your Razor Knife

Use the provided razor knife to cut out the traced sections.

Important:

  • Ensure the blade is long enough to cut all the way through the foam
  • Always cut at a 90-degree angle to ensure a straight, vertical edge. This prevents slanted cuts that can cause poor fit or loose storage.

Cut slowly and with steady pressure. If you’re unsure, make a light pass first and go deeper with a second cut.

Step 4: Remove the Foam

  1. Once the shape is cut completely, carefully pull out the foam section.
  2. Remove any remaining scraps or loose edges.
  3. Test-fit your firearm.

    • If the fit is too tight, trim small sections incrementally.
    • If the fit is too loose, you can use extra foam pieces to snug it up.

Step 5: Reinsert and Load

  1. Place the fitted insert back into the case shell.
  2. Load your firearm and accessories into the custom-cut sections.
  3. Close and lock the case using the integrated steel combination locks.

You now have a secure, custom fit that holds your firearm firmly in place during travel or storage.

Final Notes

  • Don’t overthink the process – function and security matter more than perfect lines.
  • If you ever want to reconfigure your layout, replacement inserts are available.
  • The process is the same for all Negrini Custom Fit Cases, regardless of firearm type or model.
